UPDATE (09/15/10) Okay, people. It’s jersey reorder time. The quantities for the order are due by Friday and the deposit as well. I’ve got the count of what’s left at the shop. Get your wants in or lose out. Still $55 and I haven’t had much interest in the long sleeved stuff so speak up or it ain’t happening! ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————- UPDATE (07/09/10) The remaining available jerseys are now at Pasadena Cyclery. Be current on your PMBC dues and then give them $55 each. Those of you who have ordered them, those are bagged and in another box at the shop with what you owe. Go get ‘em! The next order will be arriving on the 1st week of September, so if you want something that’s sold out or you want bib-shorts or arm warmers, get your orders-and money in or else it isn’t coming this time. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Okay people, it’s time to pony-up. If we want to get new jerseys by the last week of June, we need to have our deposit and order quantities in by Monday, May 3. If not, our next option is a May 24th deadline to receive our stuff the week of July 12-16. We also have to decide upon whether or not to do shorts (minimum 15 and about $67.50 each for the nice 8-panel with the “good” chamois). The other pieces we are thinking about (depending upon your interest-and deposits) are; wind vests (that count towards the regular racing jersey numbers) that will be about $56, arm warmers that will be about $28 and wind jackets that will be about $71. Wind jackets, arm warmers and long sleeved jerseys (which no one said they were into) all count together with a 15 quantity minimum. The regular jerseys we have done, the Club (think racing Blue ones of our current) will be about $63 and the Freeride (which is our current Grey mesh one) will still be the same at about $52. There will also be CA sales tax in addition to the prices. This info will be on the PMBC Facebook site as well and I need your replies ASAP so we can decide on the date. Also, you need to be up to date on your club dues to buy any club clothing. If you are not, then just add the $10 to your orders. Thank you for your prompt input.

Hey People,

I am just back from the first Pasadena Mountain Bike Club meeting of the year and here’s what’s up:

First of all, it’s time to remind you to renew your PMBC membership again. You can drop of your ten samoleans at Pasadena Cyclery or you can pay online on this site using PayPal. I renewed myself-although Geep fronted me 15 cents.

Hello again, Pasadena Mountain Bike Club members, friends and other mountain bike fanatics,

It’s the end of another year and it’s time to look back at all of the great rides and times we had and look forward to new adventures in 2010.

2009 featured another epic year of riding, racing and B.O.B. rides. We had lots of new faces come out and ride with us, some old timers come back to the fold and even some welcome new additions to the Hulett and Jehue households. Again congratulations and welcome to future club members. Another highlight was the great turnout and time we had at Mammoth this Summer. It could not have been much better. Except for Nick’s Whistler damage and Doug’s header at Lower Rock Creek, we seem to have gone through another Summer relatively unscathed. Then this Holiday season we found out that Roger finally proposed to Vanessa and she said, “yes”. Congratulations to two of our favorite people in the club (of course I say that about everybody) and we look forward to celebrating your marriage through rides and bachelor parties (plural). Just kidding, Vanessa!

I definitely cannot make it out to all of the rides and I appreciate the efforts of all of our ride leaders especially El Ray, who does a whole bunch for the club. Thanks also to John, Brian, Bob, Doug, Stoner and the rest of the ride leaders. The turnouts have been great and everyone seems to be having a good time. Some club members made a few trips to Bootleg Canyon and the Taco rides seem to be getting popular again also.

2010 should be even more epic as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Pasadena Mountain Bike Club! We hope to have a commemorative jersey as well as some special events. Check back for more details. The big trip to Mammoth should be awesome again-unless we go somewhere else. Northstar at Tahoe was a suggestion and maybe Whistler in 2011. Maybe we can get out to Moab, Fruita or Crested Butte this year too. I hope to make more rides this year (in between soccer and baseball and Boy Scouts) and am grateful for all of the great rides and new friends I continue to meet even going into my 20th year with the PMBC.

Have a safe and prosperous New Year and Happy Trails to all.

Martin
