How long have you been mountain biking? I have been injected by this venomous sport for over a year and a half now.
First mountain bike? Used ’99 Specialized Rockhopper FSR.
Current mountain bike? Cannondale Rush 1000 Team Replica with the 1/2 fork.
How often do you ride? Two times a week with a bonus if I’m good to the wife.
Your favorite riding spot? For now I’m stuck between Sycamore Canyon and Chesebro.
Do you race? I have yet to partake in MTB races.
What’s your best race finish? 1st Place Men’s Division Age 30-34 (Running; I know, off topic) “Run through the pines 5k” in Crestline, CA (next to Lake Arrowhead).
What’s your best crash? Ask Geep – it was on that gnarly rock section that Geep recommended we walk on, except I noticed him walking it right when I was on it, my front tire got wedged and I came down fast onto another boulder on my ribs. Nothing broken, just bruised.
What was the last thing you bought for your bike? Panaracer Fire XC Pro Tubeless Tires.
What’s your favorite beverage? On the ride, Cytomax; Off the ride Red Hook IPA.
What’s your favorite trail snack? Crunchy Peanut Butter Clif Bars.
What’s one thing that you’ve learned from mountain biking? Unlike life, I look forward to the downs that follow the ups.
If you had a $100 burning a hole in your pocket right now, what would you buy? A bigger Camelbak or better MTB shoes.
