Metro Gold Line survey

Hey Guys and Gals,
Please read the messages below and take the time to do the survey regarding the expansion of the Metro Gold Line. Hopefully, it will help to make the expanded service more bike-friendly. The link is at the bottom of the text.

Dear Mr. Gomez
I am a Professor at San Diego State University and a consultant to the Metro Gold Line that presently runs from East Los Angeles to Pasadena via Downtown Los Angeles.
The Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority is currently studying ways to improve the interface between bicycle riders and the planned extension of the Metro Gold Line Light Rail east of Pasadena to Azusa by 2014 with stops in Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale and Azusa.
It is the goal of the Authority that the extension be as attractive and user-friendly to bicycle riders as possible. As such, the Gold Line has authorized that a survey be undertaken among bicycle riders in the region who might use the Gold Line or Gold Line extension either presently or possibly in the future.
We have prepared the survey and are hoping that members of bicycle clubs in the area would like to participate. We can deliver the surveys to your facilities or another site or e-mail your membership, if that would be easier and will be pleased to provide a preview copy to you in advance.
Please let us know if we can count on your help.
Thank you very much for your kind attention.

Dear Mr. Gomez

We now have the survey online and ready to be administered. I thank you for your kind offer to pass this along to your membership. If you could include my initial e-mail explaining the survey’s purpose (which is restated in the survey itself), that would be much appreciated.

I think that your members will find the survey easy and pleasant to complete and will be pleased to contribute their thoughts and opinions to the Gold Line decision-makers.

Looking forward to the responses.

Thank you.

Richard Parker
